Coin Set Themes
It has been established that there are two types of coin collectors: those who collect indiscriminately and those who collect specifically. We understand that some of you are interested in specializing your coin collections, and as such, we would like to give you a partial list (for now) of coin set themes that you may want to aim for. At the very least, these would help you organize your collection better.
Collection by Country – You may collect coins focusing on their country of origin. Whether they are old, new, special or in circulation, as long as those coins come from the same country, then they can belong together. It's either that, or you can choose a currency value and collect corresponding currency from different countries.
Collection by Year – You may collect coins by the year. Before you think it: no, this does not mean that you collect all coins released in that year. Rather, you would take a particular coin – say, a penny – from a particular year and start collecting coins of the same value every year. This is the most practical collection to start with.
Collection by Subject – You may collect coins by subject. Coins depicting a particular subject (such as particular animals) can be collected and displayed together. Collecting coins that have a particular image on them is a little more difficult than collection by year, but is thought of as more satisfying by some.
We hope to complete this section soon.
